Assessment

Dr. Parry-Erickson conducts psychological assessments to assist individuals (and their families) and the courts with diagnostic-related questions or concerns.  Assessment generally consists of a clinical interview, observation, psychological testing, record review, obtaining collaborative information (for example, observations from a teacher), and report writing.  Length of the assessment process varies depending on the clinical question (referral type) and individual need of the patient.  I have been trained to conduct Intellectual, Autism, Personality, and Educationally-Related Mental Health Assessments in outpatient, children's hospital, regional center, educational, and forensic settings.  Additionally, I was certified to administer the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule,. 2nd Edition (ADOS-2) in October of 2017 by ADOS-2 co-author Dr. Susan Risi.

In addition to the above, this experience qualifies me to conduct Independent Education Evaluations related to Autism, Intellectual Disability, Emotional Disturbance, and/or Educationally Related Mental Health Services (ERMHS), as well as general psychological evaluations for juvenile hall.  I currently conduct assessments for individuals age 8 and up.

Please call (916) 631-1539 to schedule an assessment consultation to discuss if I can be of assistance.
